Meet the bosses: Sara and Marieke started combining forces together in 2020 during Covid when Zanzibar was empty. Sara already started Hakuna Matata Guesthouse, Hakuna Matata Kiteschool AND recently a coffeebar before tourism came to a standstill. They then opened Hakuna Matata Villa and few months later Hakuna Matata Boutique. Then they added another project Frangipwani, and in 2024 the cherry on the pie: Paje by Night, always the favorite spot of Marieke when she came the first time to Zanzibar in 2018 for kitesurfing. It was in a bad state, so it needed a lot of love (and paint, roofs, floors, doors, windows) but we are very happy with the results. Give us another year and it will be in full glory!

Check-in and check-out
Check-in time is 2 pm, Check-out time is 10 am.
The reception opens at 08.00. Check-in time is 14.00. Should you arrive earlier and the room be available the reception will be happy to arrange a free early check-in.
If you arrive at night (in the night between your 1st and 2nd booked dates) the reception will be closed (as well as all hotel facilities) and one of the night guards will lead you to your room. We will do the proper check-in the morning. For your information the breakfast is served from 8 to 10 am.
Transfers
Transfers are not included in the room rate but a private shuttle can be arranged upon request.
